Ritluka Resources is a 100% black-owned contract mining company with a decade of proven operational performance across Southern Africa’s mining sector. From our base in Mpumalanga, we deliver integrated contract mining solutions across opencast and underground environments, supported by specialist technical services, drill and blast capability, and a rigorous approach to safety and environmental stewardship.
The name “Ritluka” means “leaf” in Tsonga — reflecting our founding commitment to sustainability, growth and renewal. As the mining sector faces increasing pressure to demonstrate credible Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance, these principles are embedded in how we operate, procure and invest in our communities.
We serve resource owners who require a technically capable, safety-conscious and socially responsible contractor. With a workforce exceeding 1 000 employees and a growing fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment, we have the capacity to execute complex, multi-scope contracts without compromising on quality or compliance.

Ritluka’s leadership team combines senior technical expertise with operational experience at some of South Africa’s largest mining companies, including BHP Billiton (now South32), Glencore Shanduka Coal and Exxaro Resources. Collectively, they bring more than 50 years of industry experience to every contract we execute.
Rhandzu Ngobeni

Qualifications
BSc Mining Engineering, University of the Witwatersrand | Principles of Project Management, University of Pretoria
Rhandzu began his career at BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa (now South32), progressing from underground miner and shift overseer through to opencast blaster, drill and blast foreman, dragline foreman, coal production foreman and drill and blast planning specialist. This breadth of operational experience — from production to planning — underpins his leadership of Ritluka’s contract delivery model.
Bonga Myeza
Chief Operating Officer
Qualifications
BSc (Hons) Geological Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal | Strategic Leadership, Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS)
Bonga brings a combined background in geology and mine planning. At BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa, he led coal reserve modelling and short-term mine design at Klipspruit Colliery. He later served as Planning Superintendent at Glencore Shanduka Coal, with oversight across two colliery operations. His expertise across short- and long-term planning is central to Ritluka’s ability to optimise production schedules across concurrent contracts.

Area ManagerBen provides on-the-ground operational oversight across Ritluka’s active mine sites, ensuring that contract deliverables, safety protocols and production targets are consistently met.
Phindile Mashabai
Financial ManagerPhindile leads Ritluka’s financial management function, overseeing cost control, reporting and compliance obligations across a multi-site, multi-contract operation.
Maryke Stenda
Compliance ManagerMaryke ensures that Ritluka’s operations remain fully aligned with applicable mining legislation, safety regulations and contractual compliance requirements across all active projects.
